The New York Times is way understating the point when they call Chris Daly, my former representative on San Francisco's Board of Supervisors, "the most impossible, irascible, ultra-liberal politician in San Francisco." This man once yelled at me because he saw me sitting in the audience of a presentation he was giving on the budget, and didn't like the employer written on my nametag. I told him I lived in his district, and he said 'well, I'll bet you live downtown in one of those awful new buildings, not in the real Soma.' I didn't, but eek. Eek!
